Learning Chinese Characters include 30 episodes, 10 minutes for each episode. It specifically explains the basic strokes and radicals that can be formed of Chinese characters. Learners will have a preliminary understanding of Chinese characters and could write simple Chinese characters according to the video demonstration. It also lay a foundation for future Chinese learning.

Wang Shiping, an expert from Shaanxi History Museum, gave a lecture on "Han and Tang culture". This researcher vividly explained the splendid culture of Han and Tang Dynasties and its unique world status. He explained the trade and cultural exchanges between countries along the Silk Road in detail by combining documents and unearthed cultural relics. Learners could feel the close connection between the Silk Road and its own nation.

This course could be divided into two parts. On the one hand, students can learn the concept of Silk Road and its founder Zhang Qian, as well as the historical origin and its relationship with Xi'an. On the other hand, this course illustrates ancient Chinese music, dance, literature, keepsake of military power and the earliest Library in China.

Li Gang, a distinguished professor of Xi’an Hantang Culture Online Academy, gave a lecture, explaining the relationship between Shaanxi and the Silk Road Economic Belt in detail. The lecture is divided into three parts: first, the origin and basic situation of the Silk Road; second, the role of Shaanxi in the development of the Silk Road, the relationship between the ancient Silk Road and Shaanxi; third, the role of Shaanxi in the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt.

This course mainly introduces idioms in Chinese language, including idioms, proverbs, allegorical sayings and idioms. Learning idioms is an important way for students to learn and understand Chinese language and culture, since they are concise in pattern and rich in content. The words in this part are relatively simple and common. They could be used frequently in daily communication, which can stimulate students' interest in learning Chinese.

This series of lectures are given by three lecturers in the Northwestern University. They are Professor Bingbing Gao, the director of the Japanese cultural research center, Gang Li, the professor in the Silk Road Research Institute and Ph.D Yanjun Zhang in Middle East Institute.
